And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season” – Revelation 20:1; 1-3, my quiet time, May 6, 2018 (Sunday); 2:32 AM on “1,000 Years” and the “bottomless pit

Greatest resource

Time is man’s greatest resource. While global wealth distribution is in great disparity yet every one of us is given the same amount of time in 24 hours a day whether we are rich or poor, educated or not.

Flies away

Time simply flies. Once the time it up, it passes away and it cannot be recovered. Christ emphasized his fervour and great value for time when he said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work, “ (John 9:4).

Take note of the timeframe being used there i.e. day and night. And the action word “work” in Greek “ergazomai” means “a task, occupation or trade.”

Whether it is day or night, it denotes time. Time is an important tool to begin with what we want to accomplish in life especially when such a task is divine and has eternal value. Often we do not trade our time for something of no or lesser value especially when we consider God’s business the topmost priority. For Paul, things other than Christ is mere trash (Philippians 3:8).

Season-Chronos

No one and nothing exist forever. With that we as mortal must often remember this. Yesterday may not be the same for today nor for tomorrow. Everything must have an expiry date. Even the stars above die according to scientists and their brightness grow dim.

That is why Paul says we must take every advantage should opportunity comes (Ephesians 5:16/NIV). Webster define opportunity as chance, break, an opening or occasion. Opportunity doesn’t come too often, it is short and occasional.

Season in Revelation 20:3 is from the Greek word “chronos” meaning “time either long or short.” Chronos or season is a space of time which designed a fixed or special occasion, which denotes a particular period or interval. It also speaks of opportunities or deals, or years old, space time or a while. Generally speaking, chromos is the amount of period given to a particular season or time. It is a general time from beginning to end like 24 hours a day or 365 days a week. When the seventh day of the week ended, another day for yet another week comes in. When the last day of 365 day lapsed, another year comes in.

.

According to John the Beloved, Satan, the beast and the anti-Christ will be loosened for a certain chronos or season to deceive the nations for the last time. And that period covers 1,000 years. It’s a sum of period. Again, time element is mentioned.

My mother died on March 2015 while she was born on May, 1934. She should reached her age of 82 on May 15, 2015. So my mother’s mortality rate is from 1934 till 2015 and that was her general time or chronos until she expired or died. Even some grocery items have also expiration date for consumable period.

Time varies

There are Three General Kinds of Time (according to our global standard time). These are as follows:

  1. Chronos. The general time

  2. Kairos. The opportune time. It is a special time or seasonal. The coming of Christ in the “twinkling of an eye” is a special time called “moment of time” in Greek “rhipe.”

The “kairos” of time is also mentioned in Ephesians 1:10, “That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth; even in Him.”

  1. Pleroo. Fulfilment of time.

When Christ came in the form of a flesh through a virgin named Mary. That was a fulfilment of time called “pleroma” refers to the “fullness, abundance, fulfilling or keeping” of (general) time. Pheroma is from the root word pleroo. In Galatians 4:4 the words “chronos” and “pleroo” are both mentioned.

Cronus in Antiquity

During antiquity, Cronus was occasionally interpreted as Chronos, the personification of time. The Roman philosopher Cicero (1st century BCE) elaborated on this by saying that the Greek name Cronus is synonymous to chronos (time) since he maintains the course and cycles of seasons and the periods of time which jibes Genesis 1:14 when God creates astronomical signs in the universe. The Latin name Saturn denotes that he is saturated with years since he was devouring his sons, which implies that time devours the ages and gorges according to Cicero, “De Natura Deorum”.

Don’t you know that God is like the Greek god of time, Chronos?

Kairos

Ephesians 1:10, “That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth; even in Him.”

Kairos is a measure of time, a larger or smaller portion of time; a fixed and definite time, the time when things are brought to crisis, the decisive epoch waited for according to Thayer.

Kairos is also a “
opportune or seasonable time or the right time (when others time can go wrong); a limited period of time; the things and events of time; a set or proper time; opportunity (convenient, de) season; (due, short, while) time; a while.”

Kairos still originally came from the Greek word “chronos.” For me, it is “a while “ that happens very occasionally. It is like a moment within a time. “

Opportunity or kairos is mentioned in Ephesians 5:16 (NIV), “.. making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” And Christ’s Coming whether in Rapture or Second Coming is so brief and sudden that can happen in a moment of time. 1 Corinthians 15:52, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. “

Pleroo

Pleroo is something that must be done and accomplished in a given period of time (timeframe). Our chronological time from the day we were born and on the day that we will die must always accomplish our purpose in the divine plan of God in our lives. We call it fullness or perfection or rest i.e. Shabath” (Genesis 2:1-2; Hebrew 4:5)

Fulness or pleroma are mentioned in Romans 11:12, 25; 15:29; 1 Corinthians 10:26; Galatians 4:4;Ephesians 1:10; 1:23; 3:19; 4:13; Colossians 1:1; 19; 2:9).

Christ is task-completer. He said, “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work, “(John 4:34). The word “finish” in Greek “teleioo” means “to make perfect or complete; to accomplish; to bring to end.”

In other words, the term pleroo is something that you started that must be completed In Acts 13:36 says that “David after he had served his own generation by the will of God fell on sleep.”

On Christ’s birth it says, “But when the fullness (pleroma) of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,” (Galatians 4:4). Our fullness in life must be well-spent otherwise you miss hitting your target. That is why Christ said, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work,” (John 4:34) and in the same way he said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work, “ (John 9:4).

Time determine events

.Seasons and events are governed by time. Nothing will ever exist without time element. No time will ever comes without activity or force. I often mentioning this “Time determines events. Space determines time. And between those times are people, events or affairs and distances.” They are inseparable. When the hour has come, we will see Jesus coming from the air.

If you would make a research on Geography which is the study of the earth surface, you will find out that every activity there is bounded with time. The same thing goes with us as man. And if we are a part on this earth’s surface, what then is our purpose?

Events, governed by time

Seasons and events are governed by time. Nothing will ever exist without time element. No time will ever comes without activity or force. I often mentioning this “Time determines events. Space determines time. And between those times are people, events or affairs and distances.” They are inseparable.

Divine purpose

Time is made by God for a divine purpose.

If you will read Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 in King James Version (KJV), 30 times that the word “time” is mentioned there. Time in Hebrew “eth” means the following:

  • time (of an event); usual time.

  • experience;

  • fortunes;

  • occurrences;

  • occasion (Thayer).”

Take note that “time” denotes the “affairs of men.” Event according to Webster means “something (especially something important or notable) that happens” or “a planned occasion or activity.

Don’t you know that the Preamble’s provision of “Divine Providence” is changed into “Almighty God” because it denotes “Filipinos unfaltering reliance on God that He creates the destinies of men and nation?” as pointed out by constitutionalist and co-writer of 1987 Philippine Constitution, Jose P. Laurel Sr.

Let’s go legal now.

What if HB 6595 or “Civil Partnership Bill” has been approved by the Congress and Senate and signed as a law by the President? That denotes element of time since it is a priority bill by the House Speaker. The event in the affairs of men is legalizing “same-sex marriage.” In effect, is it the State is legalizing what is “immoral” as said in the Scriptures? What will happen to the moral structure of family and other institutions of this nation? How will God judge the Philippines as a nation? And that is a future event?

What if “Bangsamoro Basic Law” (BBL) will be finally approved by June 2018 as considered

urgent bill” by the President? Time is again to be taken in consideration there. What will be the effect of this bill to the nation? Shall the bill once becomes a law will Islamize this once Christian Nation? Is it the State guilty before God for legislating anti-Christ law? In the Judgment Day, how will God judge our nation? Again the word, “Judgment Day” denotes “event” and “time.”

When you see the table below, what bears in your mind? Does it say something or does it denotes time element or events that occur anytime? What if a prophetic word will be spoken as a judgment, shall it truly serve its purpose in the same way when Christ prophesied the destruction of the Temple that eventually flattened even its very foundation in 70 A.D (Matthew 24:2)?

(picture2)

God does not play with time or events. Where is Philippines heading? Where is Israel in God’s time clock?

Geopolitics

Geopolitics (as a science) deal with national and international issues affecting socio, -economic, political, religious situations.

When you see the table below, what bears in your mind? Does it say something or does it denotes time element or events that occur anytime? What if a prophetic word will be spoken as a judgment, shall it truly serve its purpose like when Christ prophesied the destruction of Herod’s Temple in 70 A.D. (Matthew 24:2)? From there, Israel become “diaspora” or “scattered” or “dispersed” and earned the trademark of “people without a nation.” The Temple of Solomon which later renamed as Herod’s Temple in Jesus’ time become a landmark of the Jewish nation.

Divine Purpose

Whenever God gives your time, He also gives you divine purpose.

The word, “purpose” (Hebrew) “chepnets” (khay-fets) means a “delight, pleasure (delight, longing, desire, the good pleasure, that in which one takes delight)” according to Thayer.

James Strong said “purpose is a valuable thing; a matter (as something in the mind); things desired, purpose.David served well his own purpose. Acts 13:36, “For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers..”

So God’s divine purpose matters.

Fulness or pleroma are mentioned in Romans 11:12, 25; 15:29; 1 Corinthians 10:26; Galatians 4:4;Ephesians 1:10; 1:23; 3:19; 4:13; Colossians 1:1; 19; 2:9.

Christ is task-completer. He said, “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work, “(John 4:34). He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning to the end. He ends from where He begins. And that is completeness or rest.

A matter, a purpose

What is a matter? A matter occupies space and time. So a matter (like your presence) denotes time and space and therefore you must have something to exist for? You or me is not an accident. Our existence matters with Him why we are walking on this space right at this time.

A matter is one’s divine purpose.

When God has provided you and me designated time that is because He wants us to serve our divine purpose. God has a rich think-tank when it comes in doing His will.

Last May 21, 2018 an intercessor shared that she saw in a vision in a prayer that the Chinese (from mainland China) dropped a metallic box on 2/12 diameter and height in the bottom of Pacific ocean and later on it exploded and disbanded Philippine archipelago to destruction. This is not the first time however that such a vision in prayer have been shared but many times in the past 5 years. The question is this, what is God’s divine purpose of creating the Philippines? What is her call as a nation?

Matter matters

So God’s divine purpose matters.

Philippines was considered as the only Christian Nation in Asia. When the Catholic-dominated East Timor, a state or province in Indonesia sparked religious-war with the Muslims, the United Nations (UN) intervened and sent there UN peace-keeping force (some from the Philippines). Few years later, East Timor have been granted independence by main Indonesia and she have been accepted as another member-state of UN. East Timor now is considered “a Christian Nation,” as well.

But Philippines for many years have been tagged as “the sheep nation,” “the light of Asia”, a “missionary-sending nation” to name a few.

And that matter (Philippines) matters. The question is whether this divine mandate is what the Church is doing now that we might find rest or perfection to the Will of God in our land?

Astronomical Signs

God gives the seasons or times as a signalling point, a signage (Genesis 1:14). These astronomical movements eventually gives signs just like what the blue-red moon last year (2017) which they call “Hydra” referring to the coiled-Snake or Dragon or leviathan (Revelation 12:3-5; Job 3:8; Job 41).

Christ has also forewarned to His disciples in Matthew 24 regarding the coming of the end times in the form of territorial disputes and rumours of wars; famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places, “ (Matthew 24:7).

The word, “season” in Hebrew “zeman” (zem-awn) means “a set time, appointed time, time” (Thayer). James Strong defined “season” as “an appointed occasion, season, or time.” It derived from the root word “zaman” i.e. to appoint a time; be fixed, be appointed. Breaking of the Bread.

(picture3)

Bird from the east

When Robert Misst, a prophet from New Zealand met over 200 intercessors in Makati on late February 21, 2012 he warned that a titanic nation will encroach the Philippine territories by the word God have him in Isaiah 46:10-11 saying, “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. “

The
ravenous bird from the east then was being referred to China. Misst directed the Church of the Philippines to intensify prayer until Intercessors for the Philippines ( IFP) introduced 24-HHP (24-Hour House of Prayer) which is a call of watchmen to pray for the nation otherwise God will bring us to the “cross-road”. By 2nd week of April of the same year, Philippine Star Headline reads; “Phl-China stand-off” referring to the Scarborough Reef or Bajo de Masinloc. To this very day, Bajo de Masinloc is controlled by the Chinese and not the Filipinos until recently … the militarization of many of Philippine reefs and shoal including Palawan’s Pag-asa Islands.

Earthquake and Super-typhoon

The prophets who spoke in our 24th National Prayer Gathering (NPG) last April 2013 warned us as they saw in the horizon the threat of earthquakes, strong storms and floods that will cause massive destruction and deaths in the islands of Bohol, Cebu, Leyte and Samar and many other parts of the country in the Visayas, Luzon and Mindanao.

Less than six months since the prophetic warnings were given, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit the islands of Bohol and Cebu last October 2013 causing widespread destruction to homes and infrastructures and claiming lives of hundreds of inhabitants of these two islands. Ominously, the second and third oldest Spanish- built 16th century Catholic Church buildings were destroyed and reduced to a pile of rubble.

Barely one month after that disaster, the Philippines was hit by the super typhoon Haiyan (local name, Yolanda), the most powerful typhoon in recorded history of this planet that hit land packing unimaginable winds of 318-350 Kilometer per Hour at the center.

True to what the prophets warned us with, Typhoon Yolanda hit with devastating force the islands of Leyte and Samar destroying everything in its furious path. Ten thousand people perished in the aftermath of these mega-storm with 80% of the homes, buildings and infrastructures destroyed to the ground. The whole Visayas was hit hard and the nation mourns – Bishop Daniel A. Balais, “2104 Trumpet Call: Philippines “Return Unto God.”

(picture4)

Most amongst the Church remained passive in apathy and did not listen to the voice of the Lord. Instead they mocked His prophets. Mockery is a sign of scoffers. Scoffer is a visible signs of the end times. 2 Peter 3:3, “Knowing this first that there shall in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts.” Scoffers in Greek “empaiktes” (sounds impakto) means “a mocker, scoffer, derider, a false teacher.” Christians leaders even bishops derided the prophesies of the Lord and insulted His servants through the Face Book.

Mysterious disease

Mysterious disease – is it real or just a myth?

When prophet Vincent Selvakumar warned of a flesh-eating disease and encouraged for the Church to pray more, many Christians did not believe. Prophetic people are being branded as heretics or false prophets including this writer. Is it not scoffers (Greek “empaiktes” false teacher) is a sign of end times? (2 Peter 3:3). While others who deride the truth have nothing but false accusation and filthy mouth, I have on the other hand, a proof to stand for the truth.

(picture5)

Example of signage is Christ in the “Breaking of the Bread” or “Passover Meal” prior to His crucifixion. That was historically recorded by Moses as a sign of escape or deliverance from the wrath of God that will fall to the land of Egypt (Exodus 12:11).

Why are we taking the Lord’s Supper even to this very day? “But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom,” (Matthew 26:29). The underlined words on the given Scriptures denote “time,” “spaces or distances” and “events.”

Jurassic Church
It is amazing that today’s trend is that the Spirit of Darkness and the prince of this world uses Christians to persuade other Christians in the
spirit of error (1 John 4:6).

Jurassic speaks of antiquity whose doctrine remained untapped with God’s reservoir of wisdom, discernment and revelation. Just like what we saw in Hagia Ireine (Church of Peace) in June 2017 in ancient Constantinople (Istanbul) where the old church is converted into a Museum. Museum is where the antiquities are being stored.

But for John the Beloved, he was instructed to be prophetic not unlike a Jurassic Church of today which is just depository of ancient memoirs or artefacts. In Revelation 10:10-11 John was told, “ And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. “ Prophesy in Greek “propheteuo” means “to foretell events.” Meaning speaking the future events before it happens as admonition or warning.

Isaachar

The children of Issachar which were men that had understanding of the times (eth) “ as it says in (1 Chronicles 12:32). The Hebrew “eth” is derived from the root word “ad” where ad infinitum came from meaning “everlasting” or “without end.” It means “perpetuity, forever, ancient (of pastime) for ever (of future time).” The spirit of Issachar must be the spirit that we need in this very turbulent time.

Since we are serving an ancient and everlasting God, we should think the way He thinks having the “ mind of Christ “with no boundaries in terms of revealed truth and divine insights (2 Corinthians 2:16)

Until it is day

Until it is day, do. Otherwise when the night (evil time) comes, what can you do? Christ forewarned that to us. In John 9:4, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

The words “day” and “night” are both mentioned. Day is Greek “hemera” is “an interval between sunrise to sunset” while “night” is derived from Greek “nux” (noox) meaning “night, the time when work ceases, a time of death; the time for deeds of sin and shame is exposed; a moral stupidity or darkness; time of drunkenness and slumber.”

So when the church is on slumber just like the Christians in Ephesus, they are under the spirit of the goddess of night, Eresbus with a moral stupidity with minds filled with darkness.

Ephesians 5:14, “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. “

Too bad that the word night is associated with “nekros” a Greek word for the Greek goddess of death, known as Thanatos as what I said, “Church of the Dead” like Sardis in Revelation 3:1, Amplified

AND TO the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Sardis write: These are the words of Him Who has the seven Spirits of God [the sevenfold Holy Spirit] and the seven stars: I know your record and what you are doing; you are supposed to be alive, but [in reality] you are dead.”

Nux or Nyx is the Greek goddess of the night, the daughter of Chaos and Erebus, the goddess of darkness.

Like Chronos

When God pull together the past, present and future in order to make it one – how will you measure what time would that be?

Forever

Revelation 21:6a says, “And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.” And if you would join the beginning and end, how does it look like?
And whenever you see the word
“and” between “alpha” and “omega” and between the “beginning” and “end,” how much do you understand the word?

That must be the word “forever” in Hebrew word “olam”. Olam is eternity time - without end, ad infinitum, limitless, everlasting, always.

Forever is eternity time.

When Christ comes, He will fulfil His prayer to His disciples, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven,” the merging of time. Like flesh-eating Greek god, Chronos (who devoured his children), Christ will also devour the past, present and future to bring all things in ETERNITY TIME. Christ will merge everything. Christ is a merger of times, people, events and spaces (Colossians 1:20)

(picture6)

by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven,” – Apostle Paul (Colossians 1:20)

NOTES:

Cronus described

The Greek historian and biographer Plutarch (1st century CE) asserted that the Greeks believed that Cronus was an allegorical name for time on the same way that Egyptians believed on Osir and Osiris.

The philosopher Plato (3rd century BCE) in his Cratylus gives two possible interpretations for the “ name of Cronus. The first is that his name denotes ”koros,” the pure (καθαρόν) and unblemished nature of his mind according to Liddell, Henry George; Scott, Robert (1940) .The second is that Rhea and Cronus were given names of streams (Rhea) and Cronus – (chronos)).

Proclus (5th century CE), the Neoplatonist philosopher, makes in his Commentary on Plato's Cratylus an extensive analysis on Cronus; among others he says that the "One cause" of all things is "Chronos" (time) that is also equivocal to Cronus writes “Proclus, Commentary on Plato's Cratylus, 396 B.C.

In addition to the name, the story of Cronus eating his children was also interpreted as an allegory to a specific aspect of time held within Cronus' sphere of influence. As the theory went, Cronus represented the destructive ravages of time which devoured all things, a concept that was illustrated when the Titan king ate the Olympian gods — the past consuming the future, the older generation suppressing the next generation writes, Peter Dronke and John Marenbon, on “Poetry and Philosophy in the Middle Ages, Leiden, The Netherlands. BRILL, 2001; pg. 316.

In other words, it looks like Cronus in general holds the time whether it is past, present and future and devours them all if necessary.

Allegory

Allegory is a story in which the characters and events re symbols that stand for ideas about human life or for a political or historical situations (like painting or sculpture). Allegory is a symbolic representation. Allegory are just like the following:

Christ as the true vine in John 15:1 and as a “man-child” in Revelation 12:5 as well Israel as the “woman fled in the wilderness” in Revelation 12:6 is allegorical. Yet it points to the Truth on Christ and His Word. But we were also warned not to “pay heed on fables” in 1 Timothy 4:7; 2 Tim. 4:4Titus 1:14; and 2 Peters 1:16 which refers to the Greek word “muthos” i.e. “a speech, word, saying, a narrative, story; a true narrative; a fiction, a fable; in invention; a fable, tale, myth, fiction, the idea of tuition. “

Cronus by Sibylline Oracles

Cronus is mentioned in the Sibylline Oracles, particularly in book three, which makes Cronus, 'Titan' and Iapetus, the three sons of Uranus and Gaia, each to receive a third division of the Earth, and Cronus is made king over all. After the death of Uranus, Titan's sons attempt to destroy Cronus's and Rhea's male offspring as soon as they are born, but at Dodona, Rhea secretly bears her sons Zeus, Poseidon and Hades and sends them to Phrygia to be raised in the care of three Cretans. Upon learning this, sixty of Titan's men then imprison Cronus and Rhea, causing the sons of Cronus to declare and fight the first of all wars against them. This account mentions nothing about Cronus either killing his father or attempting to kill any of his children.

Flesh-eating god

Like Cronus eating his children was also interpreted as an allegory to a specific aspect of time held within Cronus' sphere of influence. As the theory went, Cronus represented the destructive ravages of time which devoured all things, a concept that was illustrated when the Titan king ate the Olympian gods — the past consuming the future, the older generation suppressing the next generation writes, Peter Dronke and John Marenbon

Prophesy

Prophesying. In Revelation 10:11, God commanded John the Beloved to prophesy (Greek) ” “prophetuo” i.e. to speak forth by divine instructions; to predict; to prophesy with the idea of foretelling future events pertaining especially to the Kingdom of God; to utter forth and declare a thing which can only be known by divine revelation; under like prompting (to teach, refute, reprove, admonish, to comfort others)

Thanatos, god of the dead

In Greek mythology, Thanatos was the personification of death. He was a minor figure in Greek mythology, often referred to but rarely appearing in person. His name is transliterated in Latin as Thanatus, but his equivalent in Roman mythology is Mors or Letum. Mors is sometimes erroneously identified with Orcus, whose Greek equivalent was Horkos. Orcus is literally mentioned in Matthew 16:18 specifically on the word “hell.”

Hell in Greek “hades” refers to “Orcus, the god of the nether world, the realm of the dead” according to Thayer Bible Dictionary.

Eternity

  • Eternity (Isaiah 57:15) i.e. “ad” (Hebrew) meaning “eternity, perpetuity, for ever; continuing future; ancient ( (of past time); for ever (of future time); continuous, existence; lasting, perpetual, world without end

  • Ancient times or ancient (Psalm 77:5; Isaiah 44:7; Jeremiah 18;15)

Hebrew word “olam” i.e. long duration, antiquity, futurity, for ever, ever, everlasting, evermore, old, ancient, ancient time (long time (of past or future); forever, always, continuous existence; indefinite, unending future, the vanishing point; eternal; without end.

  • Ancient time or ancient ( Deuteronomy 33:15; 45:21; 46:10)

Ancient time” is Qedem (Hebrew) east, antiquity, that which is before, aforetime; ancient time. Earliest time, ancient, beginning, eternal, lasting, old, past.

And” in Hebrew

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth,” (Genesis 1:1)

The word “and” in Hebrew “eth” means “preceding sign, mark, or signal” according to Thayer. . Preceding means “existing, happening, or coming before (in time and place)” according to Webster. It simply means “pre-existing.”

And” in Greek

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth,” (Revelation 21:1)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end,” (Revelation 21:6a)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last,” (Revelation 22:13)

The word “and” in Greekkai” means a “copulative or connecting force.” And “force” is a kind of electromagnetic energy (that can cause motion or change). If you connect the first and last, what time element would that be? If you connect heaven and earth, what time would that be?

And in Greek “kai” means “particle ( having a copulative and cumulative force).” As particle is “a very small piece of something.” In Physics, “particle” is “any of the very small parts of matter (molecule, atom or electron). “ A particle is like an iceberg (where you see only the smallest portion yet its biggest part is hidden).

Eschatology, a chronos

Eschatology deals with the chronological order and events in the end times. It is period from the church age which we call the grace period till the millennium. Whether rapture is pre-tribulation, tribulation, or post tribulation God has given us the Issachar spirit to discern the signs of times. We don’t know exactly what is the day or hour that He will comes but we know that the signs are being provided for to direct us and to be always be ready.

Eschatology is a chronos, a general time between the church age and the end of age.

Chronos & Chronology

Are you familiar with the word, “chronology?” That word is derived the “chronos”. Chronology as a science is a record of the order in which a series of events happened.” The Book of 1 Chronicles and 2 Chronicles are historical events and time that are recorded for safekeeping. There can be no history without a record.

And” is connecting word.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth,” (Genesis 1:1).

And” in Hebrew “eth” meaning “sign of the definite object, generally preceeding and indicating ; the accusative; demonstrative of entity; a verb or preposition.” It is derived from the root word “oth” meaning : ‘a sign, signal, distinguishing mark, remembrance, omen, warning, proof, standard, ensign.” Signs are indicators of seasons and time in Genesis 1:14

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years,” (Genesis 1:14).

When the sun rises from the east it speaks of coming of a new day. When you see the falling golden-yellow leaves, you know the autumn is coming – the changing of season. So whenever you see the end begins, what does it mean to you? That would be the “olam,” the eternity time. We are heading to the end, when the end of time begins (Tribulation), Christ will soon come to reign in 1,000 years for the eternity.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end,”

Jesus Christ (Revelation 21:6a)

Chronos is the merging of everything.
